MINDSET:
“A mental attitude that determines how you will interpret and respond to situations.”

A growth mindset is also shown to have positive impacts on a physiological scale - in areas such as weight loss, stress levels, and even mortality rates in cases of chronic disease.
The key player in this?
Establishing a growth (instead of a fixed) mindset…
Fixed mindsets are generally just that… fixed, stuck, and closed off to change. People with fixed mindsets often take failure very hard - and very personally. Even a small hiccup could make them say, “I failed… I AM a failure.”
A fixed mindset sounds like, “I can’t establish boundaries, it’s just too hard.”
Or, “I’m a people pleaser, it’s just who I am and there’s no changing it…”
Contrastingly, people with growth mindsets see the potential for positive change through growth and learning… they’re more open to seeking out opportunities for self-development, even though they KNOW failure is part of the package. They believe that failure has value and gets them closer to the things they want in life.
A growth mindset sounds like, “It’s hard for me to tell people no, but I’m going to do it anyway.”
Or, “I’m not a big fan of stepping outside of my comfort zone, but I always feel so much better after I face my fears!”

It took me my entire life to figure that out for myself…
When I was 28, I dreaded going to work every day at a job I hated, in a life that was not at all aligned with my authentic self…
I was just barely getting through each day - with no regard for myself, my health, or my happiness… and for a long time, I didn’t even care enough about myself to change it.
I was living for other people… in the job I THOUGHT I should have, living where I THOUGHT I should live… doing all the things I THOUGHT I should be doing - and saw everyone else doing (like spending all my money, going out, and working nonstop…)
I was always:
Afraid to speak up
Scared to have difficult conversations
Riddled with anxiety about offending others… (or about people not liking me)
Constantly over-committing to work, friends, and family…
The first to volunteer to help others and pick up extra tasks… yet never there to take care of myself and my needs.
It took 5 years to finally realize I needed to get up and do something about it if I ever wanted things to change.
Eventually, I finally left that job… (go Dante!)
But guess WHAT?
It turns out, my external environment wasn’t really even the thing that was holding me back in the first place... 🤯
Because even though I was in a great new workplace, I still brought with me:
my negative self-talk
my low self-worth
my perfectionism
my people pleasing
my lack of boundaries
my desire to be liked
my poor lifestyle habits
and my inability to ask for help…
Thankfully, these self-discoveries prompted me to finally hire my first life coach - who encouraged me to unapologetically focus on what I wanted, instead of trying to make everyone else happy…
9 years, two solo trips out of the country, and many lessons learned later…
I discovered my passion for coaching, and became determined to share everything I’ve learned about personal development, mindset, and self-love with all the badass, hardworking women who are struggling with the same problems I once was.
I’ve invested unimaginable amounts of time, money, and energy into studying the magic of personal development, psychology, and subconscious programming….
